About Me: My name is Andrew and I’m currently living in Utah, in the small town of Bountiful outside of Salt Lake City. I just moved back in (with the family, ugh) to save some money for the baby we’re expecting.  Hopefully I’ll be starting school as soon as I can, most likely next spring with my generals. I’m still a little unsure of what I’d actually like to do with my life, but almost positive the outcome will have something to do with computers or music. They are my 2 true passions. Some of my hobbies?

• Music. I’ve been in a few different bands throughout the years, either as vocals or on guitar. I enjoy most types of music, besides rap and country. The majority of what I listen to range from hardcore/metal to contemporary stuff like Iron and Wine or Fiona Apple. I’m always looking for new music to enjoy, so if you have any suggestions/comments on that, let me know!
• Computer Technology is also a passion of mine. I’ve been tinkering around with computers since my youth. I think I got my first computer, an apple II, as a hand-me-down from my Dad’s friend when I was 8. From then on, I was picking up random parts and putting together systems of my own, learning new things along the way. I’d like to get into either different programming language databases (PHP, Ruby, MySQL, etc), or work with photography/graphics for my profession. I’m also starting to get more into the Linux world. Support Open Source!
• Photography is also something I enjoy. I’m definitely and amature, but I enjoy it either way. I have a Canon S2 IS, but i’ve been looking to upgrade to the new Digital Rebel XTi. I like the idea of DSLR and am looking forward to the expanding market and lower initial prices. Maybe when they get a little lower i’ll make my purchase.

This blog would also be considered a hobby of mine. I’ll usually be posting whenever I have some spare time. I’ll be publishing both personal posts about what’s been going on in my life, as well as tech-related posts such as product reviews and my opinions on what’s going on in the industry.
